Take Me To Church

Take Me To Church- Hozier

My lover's got humor,

She's the giggle at the funeral,

I should've worshiped her sooner,

If the heavens ever did speak,

She is the last true mouth piece,

Every Sunday's getting more bleak,

A fresh poison each week,

"We were all born sick" you heard them say it,

My church offers no absolutes,

She tells me "worship in the bedroom"

The only heaven I'll ever be sent to,

Is when I'm alone with you,

I was born sick, but I love it,

Command me to be well,

Amen, Amen, Amen,

...

Take me to church,

I'll worship like a dog, at the shrine of your lies,

I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife,

Offer me that deathless death,

Good God let me give you my life,

...

If i'm pagan of the good times,

My lovers the sunlight,

To keep the goddess on my side,

She demands a sacrifice,

To drain the whole sea,

Get something shiny,

Something meaty for the main course,

That's a fine looking main course,

What you got in the stable?

We've alot of starving faithful,

That looks tasty,

That looks plenty,

This is hungry work,

...

No masters or kings when the ritual begins,

There is no sweeter innocence that our gentle skin,

In the madness and soil of that sad earthly scene,

Only then am I human,

Only then I am clean,

Amen, Amen, Amen,

...

My favorite version of this song is Matt McAndrew's version.

Easy Recipe 2: Sausage Gravy

So we just finished making this a few minutes ago, and let me tell you...It's amazing. I love Pinterest recipe's, and it's extremely simple to make!

Sausage Gravy- The Pioneer Woman

Ingredients-
1. 1 lb. Breakfast Sausage (I used Bob Evans Mild Sausage)
2. 1/3 cup of flour
3. 4 cups of whole milk
4. 1/2 teaspoon of seasoned salt
5. 2 teaspoons of black pepper (We used seasoned pepper. SO good)
6. 8-10 biscuits

Instructions-
1. Crumble and brown the sausage over medium-high heat, until fully cooked.
2. Reduce heat to medium-low.
3. Sprinkle half the flour and stir, until sausage soaks it up.
4. Add the rest of the flour (It will look very dry)
5. Continue to stir, and cook for 1 minute.
6. Turn up heat to medium high and pour in the 4 cups of milk.
7. Add pepper and salt.
8. Stir Constantly until gravy is thick (Once it starts to boil it will thicken very fast) It will take 10 minutes or so.
9. If the gravy gets to thick, add more milk.
10. Put over biscuits, and enjoy!

Hope your morning is going great!

Wasted Love

So as a lot of you know, Matt McAndrew was on the voice this season (2014). I'm still upset he didn't win, BUT he did come out with a fantastic song for Original Song week, and I absolutely adore the lyrics.

Wasted Love- Matt McAndrew

So I'm not supposed to love you no more,

I guess I'm not supposed to care,

I held you so close, now I'm holding a ghost,

How can love just disapear?

And where does it go when it's over?

I know that it's somewhere out here,

...

Has anybody seen my wasted love?

I've been down every street, no, I won't give up,

If I have to die trying to justify, that's how it's going to be,

Has anybody seen my wasted love?

...

It's late, I'm drunk, and I'm running on empty tonight,

Baby, I'm chasing my shadow around,

Like smoking cigarets, I inhale these regrets,

I can't change what I've become,

There's pain and there's glory, but this is my story,

I'm asking anyone,

...

Bring it back to me, my wasted love,

Hope everyone's having a wonderful week! Today I'm spending it with my husband and daughter just relaxing.

Easy Recipes 1: Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings

So I'm going to be posting my favorite recipes a a lot of them are extremely easy. (I'm seriously the laziest cook that ever existed.)

This one I got off of Pinterest awhile back while we lived in Germany. It's perfect if you just need an easy meal that only takes about 5 minutes to make, and is extremely cheap and you just let it sit there all day.

Crock Pot Chicken and Dumplings

Ingredients:
1. 1 lb Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
2. 2 (10 3/4 Oz.) Cans of Cream of Chicken Soup
3.  1 Small Onion, Chopped
4. 1 (8 pack) Grands Refrigerated Biscuits

Instructions:
1. Place Chicken Breasts in the Slow Cooker/ Crock Pot.
2. Put the Onions and the Soup into the Slow Cooker/ Crock Pot and Stir Together.
3. Cook on High for 4 hours (The Chicken will shred itself) OR on Low for 8 hours.
4.  About 45 minutes before finished, break the biscuits into thirds and put them in the chicken and soup mixture.
5. Cook for 45 min, or until biscuits are no long doughy.

Have fun!

The Heart Wants What It Wants

I'm not much into the newer pop, but the other day when we got cable, I was insanely bored, and found myself watching the AMA's that came on a few weeks ago and near the end, Selena Gomez ( The girl a lot of us used to watch on Wizards of Waverly Place) came out and did the world premier of "The Heart Wants What It Wants". Woohoo, another pop song whose lyrics mean nothing to anyone, right? Absolutely not. It was the first time maybe in my lifetime (I'm a 90's baby) where I was actually made to feel what she was feeling.

If any of you read the magazines, or yahoo, or don't live under a rock, you know that Justin Bieber finally broke up. (Which in her case is good) This song tells pretty much the story of her relationship (and every other girl that's been in a longtime, serious relationship with a guy that didn't treat you right.) BUT, the truly amazing thing about the music video to this song is the beginning where she pretty much talks her way through what she feels about him.

But, I'll let you decide what you think of it yourself.

Here's the lyrics, along with the music video.

The Heart Wants What It Wants- Selena Gomez

You got me sippin' on something,

I can't compare to nothing,

I've ever known, I'm hoping,

That after this fever I'll survive,

I know I'm acting a bit crazy,

Strung out, a little bit hazy,

Hand over Heart, I'm praying,

That I'm gonna make it out alive,

...

The bed's getting cold and your not here,

The future that we have is so unclear,

But I'm not alive until you call,

And I'll bet the odds against it all,

Save your advice cause' I won't hear,

You might be right but I don't care,

There's a million reasons why I should give you up,

But the heart wants what it wants,

...

You got me scattered in pieces,

Shining like stars and screaming,

Lighting me up like venus,

But then you disappear and make me wait,

And every seconds like torture,

Hell over trip, no more so,

Finding a way to let go,

Baby, baby no I can't escape,

...

This is a modern fairy tale, no happy endings,

No wind in our sails,

But I can't imagine a life without,

Breathless moments breaking me down, down, down...

....

A Letter To A Young Wife and Mother

If your reading this, you are a young wife and or a young mother.

I myself am in the same position you are.

I'm not going to lie to you.

Some days, you will think you made a HUGE mistake.

If you married a good man, just do the best you can everything will be okay.

It is a hard life being married so young, because you are trying to find your way in life for yourself, and now with someone else.

You will get into fights, that's normal, and probably at one point, you will believe that you hate them. Believe me, this will pass

It takes a lot to truly love another person

And not just this throwing around "I love you" crap that's going on these days.

You will learn to TRULY love another person, and their faults.

Dirty Socks, That HORRID smell that is coming from the bathroom because he can't remember to turn on the fan, Falling in the toilet when you wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom because he forgot to put the toilet seat down, the money issues that come with trying to make it with no money, and all of the other lovely things that come with living with a brand new person.

If your like me, there will be times you just want to grab all of your things, and move on.

DON'T.

As long as he is a good man, it can be fixed, keep working until it is fixed. Don't give up, just because you feel as if you are better single. That's Stupid. There is a reason you married him, and you need to keep at it and fix it.

If your like me, you got pregnant young also.

Before you knew it, you had another life that you were also having to figure out how to take care of.

None of it seemed real.

All of those late night feedings, Bouncing until you put yourself to sleep instead of your baby, the newborn scream that made you want to jump out the nearest window and run away, it will pass. I promise.

That child loves you more than life, and needs you. You are his or her world.

Before you know it, you will have a beautiful child, that your wishing would've never grown up.

Just keep doing the very best you can!

Remember: If you need a break, THAT'S OKAY! Just lay your baby down in a safe place (Swings are SERIOUS life savers.), and take 5 minutes just to breath, and eventually you will have to do this.

I'm not going to lie to you, a crying baby will eventually make you probably cry yourself.

YOU. CAN. DO. THIS.

Just keep telling yourself that.

I have faith in you:)

If you are like me, it took you a while to realize that little baby was yours, and I didn't immediatley fall in love like everyone said would happen. Honestly? I felt like I was raising someone else's child, and that I just had to get through the day without breaking down and bawling on the floor.

But guess what! I made it, and I promise so can you.

I wouldn't give my child up for anything in the world. Her smile is the thing that gets my up in the morning, and makes me so happy during the day, no matter what life is throwing at me.

Just remember, you are  "Braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think"- Winnie the Pooh
